Jamaica's largest protected area by size, covering ~1,874 km² of marine, coastal, and terrestrial habitats on the south coast. Supports 17 of Jamaica's 36 Endemic Bird Area restricted-range species and 11 endemic subspecies of birds. The Portland Bight cays hold regionally important nesting colonies of Magnificent Frigatebird and Brown Noddy. The terrestrial Hellshire Hills component is the last stronghold of the Critically Endangered Jamaican iguana.
