Short but steep climb from Newcastle parade ground (the JDF's high-altitude training camp) to the second-highest peak in Jamaica at 1,542 m. On a clear day the view extends from Kingston and its harbour in the south to the north coast. The trail passes through mossy cloud forest; the JDF barracks are an interesting historical sight at the start.
