Established in 1868 as a government quinine experiment station at ~1,500 m, straddling the divide between the Yallahs and Clyde River valleys. The walk threads through towering Eucalyptus, Camphor and Cinchona trees alongside rare endemic flora. The 360-degree panorama on a clear day takes in both the north and south coasts. 4WD essential for the approach road; the last 2 km are very rough.
